Oncology Advanced Practice Provider, Clinical Research

Summary:

\n

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support protocol-compliant patient care and clinical trial execution for early-phase oncology studies. This role functions as a sub-investigator under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, extending clinical capacity, supporting screening and study visits, and enhancing care coordination for early-phase research.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Act as a sub-investigator on early-phase clinical trials after completing required training and documentation.
\n
• Perform protocol-required physical exams and study visits for patients in screening, treatment, and follow-up phases as delegated by the Principal Investigator.
\n
• Prepare detailed medical histories and clinical summaries to support efficient evaluation by the Principal Investigator.
\n
• Assist with pre-visit screening activities, including chart review and protocol feasibility assessments.
\n
• Support post-consent screening by addressing protocol-specific questions and clarifications.
\n
• Help identify, document, and follow up on adverse events and serious adverse events in collaboration with the research team; attend designated sponsor or safety calls as assigned.
\n
• Serve as the initial clinical contact for the research care team regarding day-to-day patient management, escalating issues to the Principal Investigator as needed.
\n
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, clinical research coordinators, and data management to ensure safe, efficient, and protocol-adherent care delivery.

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Advanced practice degree (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with current licensure in the applicable state(s).
\n
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology clinical care or oncology clinical research.
\n
• Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant studies preferred.
\n
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
\n
• Eligibility and willingness to serve as a sub-investigator on oncology clinical trials preferred.
\n
• Prior experience in early-phase (Phase I) oncology clinical research preferred.
\n
• Limited travel may be required during training and onboarding.
