Rad Oncology Staff Physicist

Responsibilities Perform and review all aspects of radiotherapy patient and equipment related planning and quality assurance. Assure the best possible treatment is provided to patients in Radiation Oncology. Provide clinical service, research/development, and education/training as assigned by the Chief of Physics and Director of Clinical Physics. Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in physics, medical physics, or a related field, or a Doctorate of Medical Physics; or equivalent experience with Authorization as a Medical Physicist (AMP) on a Nuclear Regulatory License (NRC). Completion of a CAMPEP‑approved Medical Physics residency program in Radiation Oncology, or 1–2 years of related experience. Certification in therapeutic medical physics (or therapeutic radiological physics or radiological physics) by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physicists. Must complete certification within three years of hire, or be classified as an AMP by the NRC. Location & Schedule Site: Imaging Center, 3581 W 13 Mile Rd, Royal Oak. Department: Radiation Oncology, Royal Oak Hospital. Employment Type: Full time, Shift Day, 40 hours per week (8:00am–5:00pm, Monday‑Friday).
