About the Role
The Director of Supply Chain Operations & Planning will lead end-to-end supply chain operations for the Texas manufacturing facility, including demand planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and production support. This role is responsible for ensuring operational readiness, supporting production ramp-up activities, and driving supply chain efficiency through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in factory operations, SIOP processes, and global supply chain management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead demand and supply planning activities to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
- Manage inventory strategy, inventory buffers, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Support Texas site production ramp-up and operational readiness activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional planning activities to ensure on-time production and delivery.
- Establish and manage SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processes.
- Define and implement freight and logistics strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Monitor and improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance metrics.
- Drive inventory turns improvement and reduce operational downtime.
- Lead and mentor Operations Managers and supply chain teams.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to support operational planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Global Teams to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field required.
- 12+ years of supply chain operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong factory or data center operations experience preferred.
- Proven experience leading SIOP and end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and freight operations.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
