Quality Auditor

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor. This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System including auditing of in-process product per instructions as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving, Dock Auditing as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform receiving inspection and dock auditing as needed.
• Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
• Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
• Monitor data received by subcontractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
• Assist in sort operations as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.).
• Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
• Perform dock auditing as needed.

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of quality systems and standards, inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Also, the ability to add positive and negative numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (ex: Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Relative experience is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
• Frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
• Must have the ability to distinguish color variation.

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The employee must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
