Network Engineer

Position Title: Network Engineer III – GTD5 Work Type: Full-Time (FTE) Location: Remote Pay Range: $80k - $100k/Annum Must-Have Skills: 5–10 years of GTD5 switch troubleshooting experience. 5+ years of telephony troubleshooting experience. Strong Tier 3 hardware troubleshooting and fault isolation experience. GTD5 call processing and translations experience. Familiarity with central office procedures and policies. Jira ticketing experience. Ability to guide customers through changing circuit packs. Strong customer service and communication skills. Comfortable working a 24x7 rotating schedule, including on-call every third week. Must have troubleshooting experience (not provisioning only). GTD5 debugging, translations, and troubleshooting. Hardware troubleshooting (circuit packs, shelves, slots). Proficiency with Windows-based tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.). Plusses: Experience supporting migrations to softswitch. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of how GTD5 interacts with transport and IP elements. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Troubleshoot GTD5 switch issues and resolve hardware faults. Support customer calls related to circuit packs and alarms. Walk customers through changing circuit packs down to the shelf/slot level. Handle escalations and analyze Jira tickets. Provide translations and call processing support. Mentor junior team members when needed. Maintain accurate ticket documentation and updates. Participate in the on-call rotation every third week. Benefits for FTE: “This is a direct hire opportunity.
