Dental Assistant

Sunset Children's Dentistry is seeking a full-time, highly skilled, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a private pediatric practice located in the heart of Lexington, committed to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays). Gather and document patients’ medical and dental history. Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions for oral care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, etc.). Chart treatments and clinical notes in Eaglesoft . Perform dental cleanings/prophylaxis, fluoride application, and place sealants. Sterilize instruments and maintain clean treatment rooms. Support overall office cleanliness and assist with additional tasks as needed. Requirements Radiography Certification (Required) Nitrous Oxide Certification (Required) Previous dental assisting experience (pediatric experience a plus) Knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred Strong communication and patient-care skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude Job Type: Full-time Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Salary: $17 - $25 an hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
