This is done in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. The RN is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Based on this process, the RN directs and is responsible for other personnel involved in client care. The RN maintains professional accountability for all nursing care provided. Demonstrates competency in nursing judgment is also essential. Awareness of economic barriers in healthcare is necessary. Knowledge of nursing care needs and treatments for clients of various clinical specialties is required. This role will involve working with clients aged 18 years and older. Essential Functions and Duties: The RN should be able to organize and coordinate nursing care delivery for assigned clients. No performance deficiencies caused by failure to adapt to new techniques should occur. The ability to direct others in healthcare delivery is required. Regular communication and auditory skills are necessary for this role. The RN must be able to stand for 4-6 hours. Direct client care activities may be provided as needed, following defined policies and procedures. A concentrated level of attention is necessary for this position. Position Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A B.S.N. is preferred or equivalent years of experience in the field are acceptable. Demonstrated clinical competence is necessary. The RN must assume responsibility for personal and professional growth. Preferred Skills and Abilities: The ability to operate standard office equipment is preferred. Proficiency in personal computers and specific software applications is helpful. Physical Demands: The position requires grasping and reaching with hands and arms. The RN should be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Bending, stooping, and walking are also required. Good body mechanics are necessary to prevent injury. Function Duties and Responsibilities: The RN provides appropriate nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions for clients. Making nursing assignments based on employee skill levels is expected. Identifying problems and using critical thinking skills to develop solutions is crucial. Creating a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction is a priority. Accurate and prompt implementation of physician orders is necessary. Medication preparation, administration, and recording must be done according to policy. Records must be maintained concisely, accurately, and completely. Participation in orientation and training for personnel is expected. Evaluating personnel performance and making recommendations for action is necessary. The RN should comply with all organizational policies. Assisting in the review and revision of policies and procedures is part of the role. The RN must utilize appropriate channels of communication. Adjustments to interventions based on age-appropriate guidelines are expected. Demonstrating the ability to set priorities in directing and providing safe client care is essential. Working assignments must align with client care needs and job skill level. Timely completion of basic tasks with minimal guidance and supervision is expected. Conducting group therapies as assigned is required. Participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revising plans of care based on assessments is expected.
