Senior Acquisition Support Lead - Washington, D.C.

Position Description & Qualifications

As the Senior Acquisition Support Lead, you will provide overarching management for all Contractor efforts in support of Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) E-SLEP, LCAC Life Cycle Management (LCM), Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) LCM, Landing Craft, Utility (LCU) LCM, and LCU 1700 and serve as the primary consultant and advocate in all aspects of landing craft LCM and acquisition support.

In this role you, you will:

• Manage and coordinate technical and administrative team of over 60 personnel by assigning, scheduling, prioritizing, coordinating, and facilitating multiple tasks.

• Evaluate performance of subcontractors and staff in terms of actual and planned task schedules and resource requirements.

• Review work for quality assurance.

• Compose memoranda, report, and other documentation highlighting project steps and status for daily and weekly meetings with customer.

• Attend meetings and makes presentations about project status and work commitments.

• Ensure training of all staff members and instructs them on customer’s methods, procedures, and standards.

• Evaluate, develop or implement procedures regarding project documentation and development.

• Troubleshoot technical problems and take corrective action.

• Review employee schedules and time cards.

• Participate in long-range planning, analysis, and program design.

• Participate in the planning and design of new projects as requested.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance post-employment.

• US Citizenship.

• Bachelor's degree.

• 5 years of relevant/related experience.

• Microsoft Office proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

• Critical thinking, and strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• An Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance.

• PMP certificate is preferred.

• Knowledge of ACAT acquisition management, DON policy, NAVSEA procedures, and fiscal regulations.
