Senior Advanced Process Engineer (Extrusion)The Senior Advanced Process Engineer (Extrusion) is responsible for providing technical leadership and support to Cooper Standard manufacturing facilities in all aspects of extrusion processing and technology. This position drives the standardization and continuous improvement of extrusion processes across product lines, focusing on production performance, process capability, quality, energy efficiency, and cost optimization. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of global extrusion standards, equipment and tooling specifications, process parameters, and the implementation of best practices throughout Cooper Standard. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Program Management to support operational excellence, capacity expansion, new product launches, and strategic business objectives.Primary Responsibilities:Works closely with Cooper Standard's manufacturing facilities to reduce cost, improve quality and achieve advancements in both process and product technologyLeads the research and implementation of new or improved equipment/tooling/processes to satisfy changing production requirements. Works with outside machinery suppliers, machine shops, plant engineering and maintenance in these effortsAssists in the validation of new processes as necessary.
