Position Overview Work Environment: In‑Office (Hybrid Possible) – primarily at 3201 South Tamarac Dr., Denver 80231. Hybrid schedule may be available. Work hours: regular business hours with occasional flexibility. Salary: $26.00 – $38.00 per hour. Responsibilities Provides outpatient mental health counseling to individuals, groups, families, and/or couples. Provides case management services to clients as needed. Maintains confidentiality of client records and prepares all required treatment records and reports per JFS requirements. Fills out and maintains client documentation and progress notes within required timeframes. Guides clients in developing skills or strategies to address their problems. Modifies treatment activities or approaches as needed to accommodate changes in client status. Collaborates with mental health professionals and other staff, including nurse practitioners or psychiatrists, to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans. Refers clients to JFS wrap‑around programs, community resources, or specialists as necessary. Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve crisis situations. Stays current on developments in counseling through literature, courses, seminars, or networking. Maintains the productivity standard set by the agency. Attends staff meetings and serves on agency committees. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a CACREP‑accredited program. License preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD). Preferred 3–5 years of experience in individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy. Familiarity with the DSM‑5 and diagnostic techniques. Knowledge of Medicaid chart compliance requirements preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and experience using electronic health records. Ability to use email, client information database systems, and patient EMR software. Current CPR certification required. All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH within seven days of hire; unlicensed clinicians must register with DORA prior to start date and remain in active status during employment. Physical Requirements Frequently sitting and typing; regular use of standard office equipment. May occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
