Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Patient ratio 1:5 on nights. Float required to other inpatient units as needed.

• 28-bed fast-paced medical surgical/telemetry unit caring for adults and geriatric patients
• Diverse patient population including medical conditions (pneumonia, diabetes, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal) and surgical cases (joint replacement, bariatric, neurosurgery, general surgery)
• Epic charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Manage telemetry monitoring, wound VACs, IV drips (insulin, heparin, PCA), and complex medical-surgical patients
• Strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and social services

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry within the last 3 years
• AHA BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall score)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
