Medical Records Assistant - Part Time

Join Our Team at Western Slope Healthcare Center! $20-$23/hour DOE Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting quality patient care behind the scenes? Western Slope Healthcare Center is looking for a dedicated Medical Records Assistant to help maintain accurate, secure, and compliant resident health records.
What You'll Do As a key part of our team, you will:
- Maintain and organize resident medical records (paper & electronic)
- Ensure charts are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations
- Protect confidential health information in accordance with HIPAA
- Respond to medical records requests and coordinate with staff and agencies
- File, retrieve, and track records efficiently
- Collaborate with nursing, administrative staff, and consultants
- Assist with reports, audits, and documentation processes
- High school diploma or GED required
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred, not required)
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Supportive, team-oriented environment
