About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour AM-PM Hours per Shift: 07:00-19:00 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Active RN License Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS Certifications Must-Have: Previous Labor and Delivery Experience Description: Labor and Delivery RN needed for a busy birthing pavilion. We perform approximately 1300 deliveries each year. The facility includes 21 rooms, a two-bed triage room, and two operating rooms. We strive to follow staffing guidelines which includes nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin and active labors/intermittent monitoring. A 1:2 ratio applies for cervical ripening and a 1:1 for high risk medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips. The ratio for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets is 1:3. Candidates should be available for day shifts and able to start as soon as possible.
