School Speech Language Pathologist - Harvey, Louisiana

Make an impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, serving a dynamic school community near Harvey, LA. This full-time, onsite contract position runs from August 7, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, aligned with the academic calendar. You’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ communication needs, collaborating with educators, and empowering children across various age groups and abilities to reach their full potential. Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required) Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is an asset Willingness to complete drug screening and fingerprinting as required by the district and agency Key Responsibilities Provide speech‑language therapy, screenings, and evaluations to students in school-based settings Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing students’ unique communication needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, district, and state guidance Adapt therapy strategies and materials to support diverse learners Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to shape young lives and develop meaningful professional relationships in the New Orleans area.
