Occupational Therapist - Winchester, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, planning, and communication abilities
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' functional status and develop individualized treatment plans that address their needs and goals
• Deliver occupational therapy interventions, including adaptive equipment training, activities of daily living retraining, and therapeutic exercises
• Educate patients and families about exercises, safety, and ongoing care to support rehabilitation at home
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapy staff to ensure holistic patient care
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and professional accreditation standards
