About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre/Post department at Bridgeport Hospital provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care as part of the Yale New Haven Health System. Highlights Location: Bridgeport, CT Facility: Bridgeport Hospital Schedule: Per Diem Pay: Not specified What You'll Do Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Respect patients' values, preferences, and expressed needs. Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health. Analyze assessment data to determine actual and potential diagnoses. Identify expected outcomes for individualized care plans. Develop and modify plans of care to attain expected outcomes. Implement identified care plans. Coordinate care delivery and transitions in care. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required; PACU experience strongly preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in Connecticut. BCLS certification required; must obtain within one month of hire. ACLS certification required; PALS preferred. Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
