Compensation: Starting range from the following: Non-CDL: $24.00-$26.00 an hour CDL: $26.00-$28.00 an hour Location: 1295 Progress Center Ave., Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Operates truck in accordance with Company Policies, DOT Guidelines, and applicable traffic laws during the day or night and in various traffic and weather conditions. Conducts and documents pre- and post-trip inspections on truck. Responsible for securing cargo on trailer. Makes product deliveries according to proper route and schedule While at customer locations, the driver must open, and/or close doors for the customer to unload product. Ensure product accuracy and quality by scanning product tag numbers with a scanner and visually inspecting product as it is unloaded from the trailer. Obtains customer signatures on proof of delivery and submits to the dispatcher as required. Clean and sweep truck as needed. Operate and maintain a 'Mobile Electronic Onboard Recording' device. Report truck, equipment, and material problems and/or damage, accidents, and traffic violations promptly to the appropriate company official. Maintains a clean and professional appearance. Attends departmental staff and safety meetings. Must be able to obtain a new DOT certified medical card Focuses on Safety Job Duties include Warehouse when driving duties are not scheduled. Inspects and records maintenance on vehicle at the beginning and end of shift. Uses forklift to move material from warehouse staging location to the trailer for loading. Utilizes proper loading techniques to ensure the material is safe, stable, and secure on the trailer. Checks trailer for accurate shipment and bill of lading; unloads trailers containing lumber, etc. Oversees the organization and inventory of the shipping warehouse. Complies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards. Operates a handheld scanner to pick material from dedicated locations in the warehouse. Efficiently picks customer orders for shipment ensuring that the order is complete, accurate, and free of damage. Appropriately lifts and stacks material on carts to ensure material may be properly wrapped, package units when pulling is completed, prints and places shipping labels on materials. Assists with physical inventories as required while maintaining a orderly work area. Complies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Minimum age of 21 years of age High School Diploma or GED 18 months verifiable box truck driving experience within the past 3 years required No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no more than 3 within the past 7 years No Reckless driving; including but not limited to speeding 15+ MPH No Leaving the scene of an accident in the past 3 years No At-fault DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years No Driving Under the Influence (DUI / DWI) violations within the past 7 years Effective time management and organizational skills Valid Class B License Moffett certification is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the skills, experience, and willingness to learn. It must be obtain within the first two weeks of employment.
