Job Title: Senior Test Technician

Duration: 03 Months Contract (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Roseville California, 95747 (Onsite)

Pay rate: $27 per hour on w2, without benefits/holidays/vacation

Number of Positions: 2

Shift Timing: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Senior Test Technician tests, troubleshoots and repairs a variety of electronic assemblies that are produced at our company or at a customer’s location. Employees in this job class apply established procedures and equipment quality standards. This job requires strong knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry, standard test equipment and ATE, programming software and hardware, the ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and assemblies drawings.

Typical Duties:

· Support NPI test process and assist engineering with prototype bring up.

· Set up and operates a variety of standard and specialized test equipment.

· Perform failure analysis, development and modification of test equipment and test procedures.

· Develop and build specialized test equipment and fixtures. Installs and debugs software programming and test applications.

· Test complex analog and digital printed circuit boards and assemblies.

· Troubleshoots down to the component level and repairs all nonconforming assemblies.

· Perform failure analysis to determine the root cause of failure and recommend corrective actions.

· Soldering and de-soldering of components on surface mount and through hole circuit board assemblies.

· Create bug lists and debug procedures. Collects test and rework data.

· Provide training and support of lower-level technicians and test operators.

· Utilize software and completes transactions.

· Perform other duties and special projects assigned.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience in electronic assemblies' test, troubleshooting and rework, preferably in a production environment

· BSEET preferred

· Ability to operate standard electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supply and digital multi-meters

· Strong knowledge of theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components

· Demonstrated failure analysis and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to learn and apply knowledge in minimal amount of time

· Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required

· Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from team, customers and others

· Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English

· Human relations skills to maintain effective working relationships with team

· Effective customer service skills

· Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software

· Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

· Demonstrated customer service, problem solving, and common-sense skills.

Skills Required:

Must have relevant test technician experience and comfortable following written instructions, read schematics, and using test equipment like power supplies, multi meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.

Education qualifications:

Associate's degree: a comparable combination of work experience and education may be considered.
