Registered Nurse RN

Registered NurseCareSTL Health is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to join the team! The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and others health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.Essential Functions:Directs and supervises less skilled nursing/health care personnel, or supervises a particular unit on one shiftPrepares patients for, and assists with, examinations and treatmentsAssesses the needs of individuals, families, and/or communities, including assessment of individuals' home and/or work environments to identify potential health or safety problemsInstructs individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and childbirth, and develops health improvement programsPrepares rooms, sterilizes instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintainedAdditional Duties:Administers oral, inhalation, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal and other routesConducts specified laboratory tests as directed in CareSTL Health's Policies and Procedures for Standing Orders under the direction of a physicianDirects and coordinates infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautionsProvides or arrange for training/instruction of auxiliary personnel and community stakeholders Refers patients to specialized health resources or community agenciesConsults with institutions or associations regarding issues and concerns relevant to the practice and the profession of nursingWorks with individuals, groups, and families to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of communities' outcomesCommunicates with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills Performs additional duties asJob Requirements and Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing requiredValid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri required Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) required Current CPR Certification required0-5 yrs of experience in a Community Health CenterAdditional Information:Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.11 paid holidays per year.Full benefits package.Public Service Loan Forgiveness.*We believe that health care is right and not a privilege.
