Registered Nurse, Long Term Care - Tom's River Location: 94 Stevens Rd., Toms River, NJ 08755 Shift: Day Pay Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour Job Summary Children's Specialized Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation team in Toms River. In this role, you will provide comprehensive rehabilitative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, family-centered care. This position also offers opportunities to develop leadership skills, including serving as a Relief Charge Nurse. What You'll Do Deliver rehabilitative nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for pediatric rehabilitation patients. Provide patient and family education tailored to each child's unique needs. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care. Perform clinical assessments and interventions while promoting patient safety and quality outcomes. Delegate appropriately to LPNs and nursing assistants while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to new staff and nursing students. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development. Serve as Relief Charge Nurse as assigned, assisting with patient flow, staffing support, and unit operations. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire (Inpatient positions). BSN preferred. Pediatric and/or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred. New graduate RNs (0-6 months of experience) are encouraged to apply.
