Senior Buyer — Norton Rixson, Hwy 74, Monroe, NC ASSA ABLOY Norton Rixson designs and manufactures door closers, pivots, electrified closers, and low energy electrical operators. Located in Monroe, NC. Job Overview Assist in procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier management to ensure quality and value. Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to build procurement decisions and inventory strategies. Responsibilities Issue purchase orders based on planning tools and obtain acknowledgements. Reconcile past due purchase orders. Maintain supplier quote files and effectivity dates. Develop cost/price/value analysis on supplier’s products and services. Engage in cost negotiations and develop material management strategies. Measure supplier performance and provide scorecards. Partner with quality, engineering, and manufacturing regarding non-conforming materials. Prepare management reports and maintain official procurement records. Communicate with accounting and vendors on invoice discrepancies. Embrace a fast-paced environment requiring urgency. Manage transition from discontinued to new products. Measure procurement effectiveness and recommend improvements. Other duties as determined by company. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering (equivalent). CPM, CPSM desired. 5+ years procurement experience in lean manufacturing. International procurement and logistics experience. Excellent communication skills and problem resolution. Leadership experience meeting KPIs. Knowledge of procurement principles, price analysis, negotiations, ethics, and purchasing law. Experience with capital projects and Lean improvements. Required experience setting up reorder point material system. J D Edwards ERP knowledge a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
