Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Contract Weeks: 13 Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
• Must maintain current valid certification in:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (must be completed within six (6) months of hire)
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
• Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Perform a variety of responsible nursing care procedures that require professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
• Work independently in completing assignments following doctors' orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures.
• Provide inpatient care and support in the ICU, including recovery of post-operative patients as needed.
• Float to Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatrics as necessary.

• Orientation every 2 weeks
• COVID & flu exemptions may be accepted after submission of declination form
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start
