At Alpha we provide students with two hours of self‑guided AI‑powered academic learning, freeing facilitators to focus on life‑skills workshops, motivation, and coaching of Guides. What You Will Be Doing Leading one‑hour workshops on public speaking, focus, and feedback for K‑8 cohorts following Alpha’s playbook. Running motivation sessions using student analytics and Alpha’s incentive system to drive 100 % goal completion. Coaching Guides on program fidelity and standards enforcement, producing tangible improvements every session. Maintaining your own cohort while developing other Guides. Tracking student satisfaction, goal completion, and Guide metrics weekly to spot underperformance. What You Won’t Be Doing Lecturing or tutoring students on academic subjects. Designing curriculum or building lesson plans from scratch. Coaching Guides on teaching technique; focus is on energy, motivation, and accountability. Making exceptions when a student scores 99 % instead of 100 %. Providing “big ball of empathy”; emphasis is on honest feedback and real consequences. Camp Counselor Key Responsibilities Deliver Alpha’s three promises to every student: love for school, accelerated learning, and real‑life skill development. Basic Requirements Willing to work on‑campus in any of the listed locations (relocation support provided). Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in education, learning & development, coaching, or youth leadership. Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and performance decisions. Direct experience working with kids aged 5‑14 in an educational setting. Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, or initiative from the ground up. Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions. Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master’s degree in a related field. Experience coaching athletics, leading wilderness or experiential programs, directing camps, or running youth ministry at scale. Experience leaving classroom teaching to build or run programs in EdTech, tutoring, nonprofits, or school intervention teams. Early‑career record of high personal performance (academic, athletic, or professional). Belief that the current education system is broken and personal investment in rebuilding it. Work Arrangement This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) long‑term position, available immediately. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
