TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

Job Title: PACU RN - Inpatient Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level 1 trauma and Telemetry setting required. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS required. Must-Have: MUST have Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience. Will accept first-time travelers upon screening. Able to work two out of three holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD). Required to be on-call for 1-2 overnight shifts monthly. Description: This position requires the nurse to work in PACU with a patient ratio of 1:2. The PACU nurse will also float to the holding area, where the patient ratio can be 1:3-5. Patients in the holding area are equivalent to an inpatient floor PCU assignment. Experience with pre/post Cath lab procedures and pre/post IR procedures is required. Clinicians should be comfortable managing ventilated patients and recognizing/handling dysrhythmias. The ability to care for pediatric patients is preferred but limited pediatric experience will be considered. It is highly recommended that candidates have experience with Phase II recovery and are accustomed to increased nurse-to-patient ratios. Special equipment and technology experience in a Trauma Level 1 setting is essential. Availability of one weekend shift per month is required. Greater than seven days of requested time off needs approval. No local candidates are accepted within a specified radius. Pending licenses may be accepted. All staff members are required to report COVID vaccination numbers, although vaccination is optional. Medical and religious exemptions for flu vaccination are accepted. High patient acuity and diverse patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics, will be part of your daily responsibilities.
