Quality Assurance Manager

Position Description

Lead the facility’s quality team and Quality Management System to ensure printed circuit boards meet customer and applicable industry requirements. Support corporate quality initiatives and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage quality personnel and assigned inspection and testing departments, including Cross Section Lab, Wet Process Lab, AOI, Electrical Test, and Final Inspection.

· Hire, train, coach, and evaluate personnel; ensure competency and adequate staffing.

· Maintain quality procedures, document control, and compliance with applicable customer, ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC, and regulatory requirements.

· Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection, testing, calibration, and authorized product release.

· Ensure shipment documentation is accurate, complete, and meets customer requirements.

· Manage customer relationships, complaints, returns, SCARs, and audits; ensure timely responses and resolution.

· Lead nonconformance control, containment, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.

· Coordinate internal and external audits and close findings promptly.

· Analyze quality metrics, report performance and risks to management, and drive improvements.

· Work with Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Corporate Quality to resolve issues and support quality and delivery goals.

Qualifications

· Minimum five years of PCB manufacturing experience and five years of quality management experience.

· High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree and relevant quality certification preferred.

· Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, applicable IPC standards, and statistical quality methods.

· Experience with customer audits, SCARs, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs.

· Military and aerospace PCB experience preferred; rigid-flex experience helpful.

· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality systems.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at a computer, move throughout manufacturing and laboratory areas, and perform inspection-related bending, reaching, and fine motor tasks. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with assistance or equipment as needed. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
