A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration: Join our well-established team of fourteen physicians and two nocturnist APPs at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Work alongside a unique group of clinicians with diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds. We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care. Qualifications: Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program. Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico. Acute care certification required. Authorized to work in the United States. Flexible Scheduling: 7pm-7am, 7 on/off We offer various flexible scheduling options to promote a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care. Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sounds internal informatics platform. Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team. The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.
