Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist surgical teams in providing safe and efficient patient care within the operating room. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain high standards of clinical practice during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform as a First Assist RN with expertise in DaVinci Robot, orthopedics, gynecology, neurology, and general surgeries.
• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements.
• Support surgeons during procedures with knowledge of spinal, neurosurgical, robotic, and craniotomy cases.
• Adhere to sterile techniques and safety protocols to prevent infections and complications.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective patient outcomes.
• Document procedures accurately in the EMR system and communicate vital information to team members.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license and RNFA certification required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years current OR experience in a similar setting.
• Proven First Assist experience with DaVinci Robot and complex surgical procedures.
• Strong communication skills to foster effective physician and team relationships.
• Ability to demonstrate surgical anticipatory skills and critical thinking.
• BLS and ACLS certifications maintained.
