Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: Full-Time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred. License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. - BLS certification from AHA required. - ACLS certification from AHA required. Description: The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. The Nurse demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to work towards long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage clinical situations. Utilizes the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments following appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources to support patient care.
