Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Cook / Chef to support our assisted living and memory care communities in Prosper and Denison, TX. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals that meet dietary guidelines, resident preferences, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate understands the importance of mealtime in senior care and takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and food quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals according to approved menus, recipes, and portion standards.
• Accommodate special dietary needs (low sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, etc.).
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with menu planning and appealing food presentation.
• Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper food storage.
• Ensure timely meal service aligned with resident care schedules.
• Collaborate with caregiving and leadership teams to support resident needs.
• Comply with state, local, and community food service regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and baking.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary requirements accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Experience managing inventory and maintaining an orderly kitchen.
• Comfortable preparing meals for seniors with varying dietary needs.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with care teams.
• Assisted living, memory care, or healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Culinary certification or relevant food service experience a plus (not required).
