Maintenance Mechanic

This role provides comprehensive maintenance support for production machinery and building equipment across multiple shifts. You will perform full maintenance on a variety of machines, working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. The position offers first, second, and third shift options and regularly includes opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable operation of production and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair failures on machinery such as punch presses, thermoformers, interfolders, and packaging equipment with a high degree of independence.
  • Replace or fabricate parts as needed to restore equipment to proper working condition.
  • Carry out electrical work, including working with fuses, sensors, cylinders, pumps, and vacuuform equipment as part of full maintenance responsibilities.
  • Complete all maintenance and repair tasks accurately, safely, and within required timeframes while following company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Receive, review, and close work orders using the Maintenance X application provided by the company.
  • Support overall equipment reliability by identifying recurring issues and recommending improvements to maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to minimize downtime and coordinate repair activities.

Essential Skills

  • 510 years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for machinery and building systems.
  • Hands-on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures on industrial equipment.
  • Experience working on production machinery such as punch presses, thermoformers, interfolders, and packaging equipment or similar industrial machines.
  • Capability to perform electrical work involving components such as fuses, sensors, cylinders, pumps, and vacuuform systems.
  • Proven track record of completing maintenance tasks safely, accurately, and in a timely manner while following established procedures.
  • Comfort using maintenance work order systems or applications to receive and document tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Machine- or industry-specific experience in a comparable manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working in a regulated or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance management tools such as Maintenance X or similar systems.
  • Ability to work across different shifts and adapt to changing production and maintenance priorities.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility that operates under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Team members wear appropriate GMP attire, including a hairnet, to maintain product and facility cleanliness. The environment is loud due to constant stamping operations, so hearing protection is typically required. Work is performed on-site across three shifts: first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Employees commonly have the opportunity to work 1520 hours of overtime per week, with Saturday overtime available but not mandatory. Maintenance tasks are managed through the Maintenance X application, and you will work with a variety of industrial machinery and building systems in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70720.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
