REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICES
Location: Georgia
Contract Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing services within a school setting. This position involves supporting students with disabilities and complex medical needs while collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct skilled nursing care to students with complex medical conditions
• Administer medications and physician-ordered treatments
• Provide tracheostomy care, ventilator support, respiratory treatments, oxygen administration, seizure monitoring, catheterization, and tube feeding as needed
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medication administration records
• Support implementation of IEPs, Individualized Health Plans (IHPs), and physician orders
• Monitor student health status and respond appropriately to medical emergencies
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with school staff
• Train designated personnel on emergency response and health-related procedures
• Maintain compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, district policies, and nursing standards
• Accompany students during transportation when medically necessary
• Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and healthcare providers

Requirements

Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Experience with pediatric, school, home health, or acute care nursing preferred
• Ability to independently perform medically complex nursing procedures
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to pass all required background screenings and district clearance requirements
