Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 2
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Board runner, charge nurse, service line coordinators, ancillary assistance for room turn overs
• Type of equipment: Belmont, ESU, positioning equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling requirements: RN 7-4pm M-Th, RN 7-3pm M-F, CST M-Th 7-4pm, CST M-F 7-3pm
• Floating policy: Float to main operating rooms
• Patient Experience requirements: direct contact with patients requiring excellent communication acumen, provider relations and team approach to problem solving and issue resolution.

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications: BLS
• Preferred Certifications: CNOR

Requested Skill Set:

• forward thinking, proactively plan for potential issues before they arise, teamwork a must
• Must have: teamwork, scrub or circulate procedures, room set up, room turn over, obtaining disposables and instrument sets as needed/indicated.
• Advanced skills needed: sterile technique, central line set up, art line set up. Belmont set up and operation, cell saver set up.

Procedures performed on unit:

• open heart procedures, CABG s, MVR,TVR,AVR, Vats, vascular procedures

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Scrubs provided.
