Job Title: Packer Job Description

The Packer safely and efficiently processes, packs, and ships small package orders while meeting same-day shipping deadlines. This role uses shipping software to prepare labels, stages shipments for carrier pickup, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe packing area in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Process and pack small package orders ranging from 2 to 60 pounds in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use shipping software systems for FedEx and UPS to generate shipping labels and complete shipments accurately.
• Load completed shipments onto the appropriate carrier trucks according to established procedures.
• Ensure all orders received before 4:00 PM are shipped the same day to meet service level agreements.
• Immediately notify shipping and warehouse leadership of any risks to meeting shipping deadlines, such as high order volume, staffing shortages, or unusually large orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all packing stations.
• Follow established safety and operational procedures at all times.
• Support general warehouse activities as needed, including picking and inventory-related tasks.

• Ability to lift and handle packages weighing between 2 and 60 pounds and stand for most or all of the shift.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use shipping software systems.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing, labeling, and shipment processing.
• Effective time management skills to meet same-day shipping deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.
• Commitment to following safety and operational procedures consistently.

• Experience with packing, picking, inventory, or production work in a warehouse environment is helpful.
• Comfort working with major carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS is a plus.
• Reliability and punctuality to adhere to scheduled hours and break times.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a structured break schedule that includes a morning break, a lunch period starting at either 12:00 PM or 12:40 PM with all staff back by 1:20 PM, and an afternoon break. The warehouse is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The position requires standing for most of the shift and handling packages up to 60 pounds. Steel toe boots are required as part of the dress code to support safety in the warehouse environment.

This is a Contract position based out of West Chester, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in West Chester,PA.
