Our company is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement automation to perform the day to day operations functions of the cloud platform;
- Using your extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed;
- Make modifications to existing applications and modules in accordance with specification;
- Strategically build and lead the cloud strategy efforts both privately and publicly;
- Collaborate directly with the team, stakeholders, and clients in the design, integration, and implementation of cloud-based solutions;
- Provision AWS infrastructure;
- define roles/access control;
- iPost findings and remediation;
- Participate in project/work planning sessions to analyze requirements;
- Enclaving/Network segregation;
- Practice sustainable incident response and after action reviews;
- Develop and implement a role-based access control strategy integrated with on-premises Active Directory services;
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel;
- Approach work with a DevOps and continuous improvement mindset;
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
Requirements:
- Hands-on Cloud Engineer – 3-7+ years;
- Experience developing distributed and cross-platform microservices architectures using Docker containers;
- Cloud;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience;
- Actively participates in global calls and meetings via phone or in-person;
- Understanding of Cloud deployment applications like Cloud Formation;
- Ability to code within AWS environments;
- Promote the values of a diverse work force;
- Team player & ability to work proactively, provide mentorship & directions to the team & take technical decisions with minimal supervision;
- For the right person this role could be virtual and located anywhere in North America;
- NOAA Experience;
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and distributed networks;
- Must have active Secret government security clearance with preference for Top Secret, verifiable in JPAS;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
