Our company is looking for a Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates mechanical equipment to decontaminate instruments, equipment and other items as required;
  • Assures incubation documentation is complete and accurate; Initiates appropriate procedure for recall if positive biological is observed;
  • Inspects instruments and other components for cleanliness and proper functioning prior to wrapping;
  • Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to established policies and procedures in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations;
  • Uses manual method to decontaminate instruments, equipment and other items as required;
  • Knowledge of decontamination of blood born pathogens;
  • Prefer prior experience in Sterile Supply/Processing;
  • Steam Sterilizer;
  • Properly packaging instruments and materials for sterilization;
  • Works closely with other departments and all members of the health care team;
  • Knowledge of instrumentation;
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques;
  • E.T.O;
  • Castle Autoclaves;
  • Willing to train new Grads from Sterile Processing School.

Requirements:

  • Must understand how to use basic functions of a computer, including email;
  • Must be detail oriented;
  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Certification preferred;
  • Candidate must be wiling to travel to our off sight surgery center in Devon, PA when needed;
  • Minimum of 2 years of SPD experience in multiple specialties.
