Our company is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical advisory of sanitary sewer applications;
  • Technical service request tracking and project management via the client database;
  • Development of new spreadsheets and other technical sales tools;
  • Reviewing and processing contractor submittals;
  • Perform hydraulic modeling in specialized software of pipes, creeks, channels and other drainage or sewer conveyance systems;
  • Capable of performing quality control reviews of design projects;
  • Perform grading, drainage, hydraulic and transportation calculations to support project design;
  • Directly responsible for the technical content and quality control on specific projects;
  • Supervise and direct project engineers and drafters;
  • Primary interface with clients on project coordination and design;
  • Establishing project fees, managing budget and scheduling commitments;
  • Track project cost and timing to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments and profitability;
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of professional service providers such as material testing and surveying firms;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Assist Project Team in implementation of Quality Management System and compliance with QMS protocols.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with all client products;
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office);
  • Ability to problem solve customer issues;
  • AutoCAD or similar program;
  • Demonstrates technical writing skills needed for civil reports and letters;
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills in directing and completing assigned work; is able to manage multiple projects;
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills in directing and completing assigned work; is able to coordinate efforts on multiple projects;
  • Possesses working knowledge of approval and permitting processes for civil land development projects;
  • A 4-year college degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or similar program is preferred;
  • BSCE required;
  • Train and mentor young professionals;
  • Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, winning work, maintaining and developing key client relationships;
  • Aid in proposal preparation, detailing scope of services and overall budgets;
  • PE registration required;
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with drainage design and residential/commercial experience.
