Our company is looking for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical field investigations, analyses and report preparation;
  • Responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients;
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project managers and get guidance on all aspects of the geotechnical engineering work;
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned;
  • Analyzing data using spreadsheets and geotechnical software assist in preparation of geotechnical reports;
  • Assists team in preparing civil designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports;
  • Perform field work related to geotechnical explorations and/or construction related activities;
  • Knowledge in installation and/or functioning of geotechnical investigation and analysis is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must have client relations and development skills to develop the business;
  • Must have an EIT license in the US and/or be able to attain licensure within 3 months;
  • Excellent project management skills and leadership ability; and;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Preparing engineering reports;
  • Installing and monitoring instrumentation related to geotechnical engineering or construction projects;
  • One (1)+ year of civil/geotechnical engineering experience;
  • Performing construction materials testing and special inspections in the field;
  • Availability and willingness to travel, mostly in the North Carolina area;
  • Observing or performing subsurface explorations that include the use drill rigs and in-situ testing;
  • Availability and willingness to travel, mostly in the Florida Panhandle;
  • One (1)+ year of civil/geotechnical engineering experience is preferred.
