Graduate Civil Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an;
- Complete functional and detailed design of municipal infrastructure (sewer, water, androads);
- Prepare engineering reports and construction specifications;
- Become a complementary member of our team as a whole, and on a project-by-project basis;
- Attend meetings with Project Engineers and Project Managers to meet with public review staff;
- Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Provide expertise on construction sites as an inspector;
- Attend industry events and become involved in the community;
- Conduct field visits to understand existing site or building conditions;
- Drafting in the design and construction of public work and private client facilities and projects;
- Utilize AutoCAD or Revit as appropriate to address review comments and prepare plan updates;
- Assist with contract administration of municipal projects;
- Prepare permitting application packages;
- Subscribe to our goals and objectives, including geographic and project-type diversity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Familiarity withthe localgovernment process ;
- 0-5 years experience in the Civil Engineering industry or related field;
- Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision;
- Working knowledge of the design standards.
