Our company is looking for a Industrial Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Report weekly progress to management team;
  • Evaluate need and design for improved material handling equipment;
  • Develop 2D AutoCAD layout for equipment utility connections including water, air, electric, and communications;
  • Advises and assists management with labor analysis and economic justification studies;
  • Trains the Training Team on associate training for new areas brought onto the LM program;
  • Maintains knowledge of production reporting applications. Assists with trouble-shooting data entry, reporting, and data collection problems;
  • Drafts and developments standard operating procedures (SOP) for DC tasks and functions;
  • Confirm system capabilities by designing testing methods;
  • Keep equipment operational by following instructions and established procedures;
  • Travel as required (Western U.S.);
  • Continuous improvement/Bekido/Koka-i watch/Gemba;
  • Manpower analysis and production expectations;
  • Participates in LEAN manufacturing initiatives and support;
  • Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace for maximum efficiency;
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts .

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize project activities and to hold team members accountable for daily and weekly assignments;
  • Reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution;
  • Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment;
  • Ability to communicate detailed technical initiatives to non-technical associates;
  • Transfers and applies know-how to / in various contexts;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in one Sub Job Family;
  • Improves existing processes and approaches;
  • Deep professional know-how and experience in one Sub Job Family;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams;
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environment is desirable;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field;
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred;
  • Ability to craft clear communication;
  • Build positive relationships;
  • Five years or more of experience in a similar industrial engineering role including lean manufacturing and process improvement.
