Our company is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates understanding of the relationship between design and constructability;
- Participate in team and independent based work;
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, tabulation of quantities;
- Designs and manages landscape architecture projects;
- Site grading on complex wetland and stream projects, earthwork balancing;
- Participates in managing client relationship;
- Plan and specification development for ecosystem restoration projects in both design software (CAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office package;
- Partnering with the design team for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical aspects of projects;
- Participates with other members of the design team to finalize project designs;
- Help prepare project presentations for clients, regulatory agents, and governing bodies;
- Design and production on a wide range of project sizes and types, from Concept Design through Construction;
- Redlines own drawings and makes corrections prior to submitting for QA/QC review;
- Be an accountable, eager, and creative employee owner;
- Plan, lead, and successfully execute multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring each project is delivered on time, on budget, and on vision;
- May train less experienced team members in day-to-day activities including routine technical design, processing and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience in SketchUp, Photoshop and Illustrator;
- Experience in development and production of construction documents;
- Desire to develop personal and team goals;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Landscape Architecture firm;
- Positive outlook towards problem solving and critical thinking;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / 2D drafting;
- Willingness to develop skills in budgeting and estimation;
- Experience with 3D modeling software;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or comparable field from an accredited university;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record to attend consults, meetings, and periodic job site visits;
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision;
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills;
- Strong technical skills in hardscape and landscape construction documents;
- At least 5 years on the job experience;
- Must be able to manage time and projects effectively.
