Manufacturing Project Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- negotiate successful contracts or equipment purchases to conform to budget and specification requirements;
- Work closely with the maintenance and engineering groups to;

- Develop and maintain project estimates and schedules.
Requirements:
- Effective time management skills;
- Engineering degree preferred but not required;
- Leadership and organization skills;
- Effective communication skills;
- Strong computer skills: Excel, MS Word;
- Excellent knowledge and proven work experience in Manufacturing or Project environment;
- Must have extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing production processes, specifically monitoring automated systems and the technology department;
- Experience in metal forming industries HIGHLY preferred;
- Experience managing projects and tracking progress and financials;
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving attitude;
- Software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project;
- BS in Mechanical Engineering — Masters of Business Administration is highly desirable;
- Experience in equipment selection, specification, installation, and handover;
- 5+ Years of Manufacturing Engineer Experience;
- Commitment to safety with a history for compliance – create a “zero injury” work environment by planning safety.
