Our company is looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design digital circuits.Document product robustness using simulations, analysis and testing methods.Evaluate test plans and test results;
  • Write papers, participate in technical meetings, seminars, and conferences.Protect inventions following ABB intellectual property guidelines;
  • Arrange design reviews, analyze concepts and cost effectiveness of the hardware designs. Review the software architecture and implementation;
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, instruction manuals, project notebooks, and design and test documentation;
  • Prepare and maintain product cost estimates and project plans.May require some travel (domestic as well as international);
  • Coordinate engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing. Assist Purchasing on supplier selection and component evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Supervise design verification of products;
  • Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement;
  • Drive and manage architecture and design reviews;
  • Drive and Manage the design, development and test of new embedded Hardware;
  • Seek out and engage vendors of new technologies and products;
  • Keep current with embedded Hardware trends and share knowledge;
  • Lead Architecture analysis from marketing and engineering requirements and develop design alternatives;
  • Supervise the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products;
  • Demonstrated technical leadership on complex hardware projects;
  • Experience with reliability and management technologies, memory systems, cloud scale computing platforms and/or advantaged networking technologies;
  • Equivalent experience;
  • Great cross-team collaboration skills and the desire to collaborate in hardware/software co-design;
  • B.S or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields;
  • Experience in designing and evaluating system architectures, including modeling and simulation;
  • M.S. or PhD in computer engineering, computer science, or related fields OR.
