Principal Manufacturing Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques;
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations;
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan;
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout;
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques;
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and execution skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as an individual who believes the success of an organization starts with team work;
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of related work experience with some of it in medical device industry experience;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of related work experience;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power point.
