Principal RF Design Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to support high-rejection SAW and BAW filters;
- Monolithic/Hybrid/Discrete Components and Analog/Digital Control Electronics;
- Adapting to best MCM design and PA Co-simulation methodologies;
- Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks in a PCB environment;
- Performing lab testing using RF test equipment;
- Designing Integrated Passive Devices;
- Design, analyze, develop, test and evaluate complex multi-function assemblies, spanning 0.5 – 20GHz typical; Millimeter wave up to 40GHz desired;
- Perform detailed design analysis using linear and non-linear RF modeling, 3D modeling;
- Participating and conducting design reviews;
- Effectively and professionally present and report on design and development progress;
- Function as technical interface for customers including developing specifications with clients.
Requirements:
- M.S. degree or equivalent preferred;
- Anywhere from 12-18+ years of applicable RF Design experience with a B.S. in Engineering;
- Experience designing and optimizing RF circuits;
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience;
- Strong experience and background with a practical understanding of RF design considerations to include experience or relevant course work;
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges;
- Experience in test and measurement of RF products.
