Senior Bridge Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform oversight of data entry into eMCMS and Project Solve 2;
- Facilitate communication across all personnel involved in the project;
- Provide technical evaluation of work in progress and resolution of constructability issues;
- Provide daily assignment of inspectors to project locations to cover contractor’s work;
- Review and process contractor’s monthly payments;
- Prepare and maintain project records of construction in accordance with Maryland Department of Transportation Directives and Procedures;
- Performs on technically complex projects and acts as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members;
- Manages projects completely, including the managing of client relationships and bringing in new clients;
- Supervises the work of other engineers;
- Responsible for the review and sealing of projects;
- Communicate with client’s and express the client’s needs to project team;
- Extensive experience designing in accordance with AASHTO;
- Responding to client RFP’s and preparing project proposals to secure new work;
- Supervise staff;
- Construction administration and oversight of field inspection tasks.
Requirements:
- BSCE required;
- PE license (CT, RI or MA preferred);
- Extensive experience designing in accordance with AASHTO;
- 7 + years experience in the field of bridge design on intermediate size bridge structures.
