Our company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deciding on specification compliance of designs for compressors, process system controls;
  • Carries out detailed mechanical design work and designed verification testing as required;
  • Material Selection for Innovation High Pressure Machines;
  • Dealing with Hydrogen refueling systems;
  • Identify design, process and equipment options that can satisfy client requirements, minimize costs and limit potential operational problems;
  • Work with purchasing to expedite materials when needed;
  • Assist manufacturing personnel as needed to ensure smooth build of machinery;
  • Perform on-site field surveys to collect or deliver design and engineering data;
  • You will own the entire product design lifecycle for various systems that make up the autonomous Iron Ox farm;
  • Actively participate in project scheduling and budgeting;
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of deliverables;
  • Validate concepts through engineering models and prototypes;
  • Prepare customer approval drawings;
  • Interaction and coordination with all engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive design, engineering and specification packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Master’s Degree Preferred;
  • 5-8 Years of experience of Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and design experience;
  • State of Florida engineering licensure;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • 15 – 25 years of related experience;
  • Experienced in FEA (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, etc.);
  • Experience manufacturing and prototyping in an array of engineering materials;
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience with conceptual and detailed cost estimating within engineering discipline, experience estimating with other disciplines a plus;
  • Must be computer proficient with working knowledge of MS Excel and Word (AutoCAD proficiency preferred not required);
  • A demonstrated ability to drive projects from initial concept through completion with minimal oversight;
  • Experience with building simulation modeling (preferably using Trane Trace);
  • Adaptable to varying assignments as the design team grows and client base increases both in location and job responsibilities;
  • Excellent SolidWorks skills with a commitment to best modeling practices;
  • General understanding of GD&T.
