Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors;
- Perform and/or assist Project Manager and/or Project Technical Lead with managing and monitoring financial performance of project budgets;
- Serves as Engineer-of-Record;
- Remaining current on regulatory policy and rule changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officials;
- Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers;
- Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all civil engineered systems or products for a project;
- Participates in constructability review;
- Performs on technically complex projects and acts as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members;
- Lead the development of new standards and specifications for the discipline;
- Lead the development of proposals and develop new clients;
- Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents;
- Serve as the Project’s point of contact with clients, agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals;
- Review and conduct alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for making project decisions;
- Lead or perform desktop analysis of appropriate treatment processes for water and wastewater;
- Lead in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
