Vehicle Dynamics Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handling testing can be physically demanding;
- Significant amount of travel is required during winter months;
- Subjective evaluation of ride, steering, and handling performance, as well as objective measurement of certain attributes will be required;
- Primary responsibility is to perform ride, handling, and steering development of vehicles.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to work either at Chelsea, MI, Proving Grounds, or Tech Center in Auburn Hills;
- Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Strong understanding of automotive steering and suspension components and function;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead/proven team building skills;
- Significant amount of travel, 2-3 weeks at a time during winter months;
- BS Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university, (Mechanical preferred.);
- Vehicle ride and handling subjective evaluation experience;
- Shocks, bushing/mounting, spring or steering system experience;
- High performance driving experience and proficiency.
