Wastewater Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Wastewater Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Process design calculations and write technical reports;
- Undertake design of wastewater treatment plants and associated facilities;
- Liaise with clients and sub-consultants;
- Mentor junior staff;
- May travel to meeting and job sites for observation of terrain and weather conditions;
- Work individually or with a team to undertake the design of wastewater infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, pump stations, lift stations);
- Work individually or with a team to lead utility master planning efforts;
- Prepare reports, design drawings, construction specifications;
- Perform engineering/project management duties;
- Prepare scopes of work, fee estimates, and schedules for design and construction phases of projects;
- Ensure that client needs are met in a timely and effective manner;
- Perform construction/contract administration and site observation tasks.
Requirements:
- PE preferred;
- 4+ years of wastewater engineering experience in the consulting field;
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM;
- FE/EIT required;
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering required;
- 5-15 years of prior experience including wastewater design and construction required;
- Ability to lead and manage a multiple disciplinary project team;
- Professional Engineer license required (IL PE preferred);
- Candidate should have – 5-15+ years of prior experience including wastewater design or municipal construction required;
- Master’s degree in Environmental 4Engineering preferred;
- P.E. License Required;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D;
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering;
- 3+ years of related water experience;
- 6+ years of related water experience.
