The Instructional Design Manager manages the design of training programs, including classroom lectures, online courses, and self-study sessions, directed at employees, organization members, or those who use the organization’s products or services. Oversees team of specialists to ensure training and learning needs are addressed in accordance with policy and strategy. Being an Instructional Design Manager may design computer-based training course. Advises trainers and optimizes training programs by assessing the job performance and skill proficiency of learners.   • Design, create and oversee the creation of a variety of materials utilizing desktop publishing software and SCORM compliant authoring tools;
  • Review training products to see that they reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learners;
  • Review learning experiences created by team members against outlined training objectives, company brand standards, and CPE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience designing web-based training using rapid development authoring tools (e.g. Camtasia, Storyline, or Captivate) is a plus;
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university;
  • Prior knowledge designing interactive learning interventions and performance support tools and creating detailed storyboards preferred;
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
